Dieticians are the recognized diet
& nutrition
professionals!
A dietician (or
registered dietician) is a professional who provides
scientifically based, objective nutrition information. The
nutritional information you are given by a registered dietician
is not subject to current fads and wild claims. There are
many specialties in the field of dietetics, just like there are
many physicians who specialize in a given area ofexpertise. Dieticians can specialize in certain
disease states, provide in-patient hospital
and out-patient clinic
counseling, sportsnutrition, food
service, public health, business, research and
journalism.
Dieticiansmust complete both academic and
experiential work to be credentialed by the Commission on
Dietetic Registration, and must have completed a bachelor's
degree in nutrition/dietetics from an accredited
college/university. Dieticians are also
required to pass a comprehensive credentialing exams, and must
complete ongoing academic professional development to maintain
their status as registered dieticians. Neither doctors nor
nutritionists, even though they dispense nutrition information,
are required to demonstrate current knowledge of nutrition
principles or diet in the United States that is required of those
who have an RD.

Learn which eating
plan really fits you and your needs?
Diet plans designed by our dieticians are specifically designed
to fit you. They are developed by nutrition experts, registered
dieticians, developed to your personal needs. Look carefully at
our competitors - ask them how and what they do to their diets to
truly make them personal.
Most diets are generic but not PersonalDiets.
A
diet
that is going to help you personally begins with and requires
personal assessment. Dieticians use a variety of such
assessments to help develop diets that fits your personal needs.
Diets should help you personally and should not be the typical
'one-size-fits-all' meal plan diets which lead to short term
success at the expense of your long term goals.

THE AUTHOR
Most of us have a good idea of what we need to do to make better
eating choices, but are unable to put knowledge into actionconsistently enough to make a difference.
What's needed is a specific plan that is relevant to our daily
lives. The personal assessment of each food choice and the individualization of a
PersonalDiets™
plan is what will motivate you
to change. It's easy when something complicated like changing the
way you eat is laid out in easy to follow and specific steps, and it
is designed to fit your lifestyle and eating preferences. If you do
it right, you really can achieve your short term goal (get those
pounds off -start looking and feeling better) and make it stick. The
goal is to give you a new eating style that's easy to do, gets you
to your goal, and helps keep you there. Carolyn Classick-Kohn,MS,RD

I've been trying to lose the same 20 pounds for the last
ten years. I know quite a bit about nutrition and knew
what I needed to do, but life kept getting in the way of
my efforts. I ate pretty well, but didn't have much
control over my portions because I eat out a lot. What
my Personal Diet Plan did for me was give me the focus
and structure I lacked to make it happen. I didn't
realize it would be so easy once I got started! I'm
already half way to my goal and it's been very
motivating. It gave me control over portions and I
didn't even have to change my habits all that much. I
really like the flexibility, I knew I needed a plan
where I could make my own choices and not have to go
crazy trying to stick to one of those regimented meal
plans. Thanks for giving me a plan I could stick with!
