My Experience with PersonalDiets

"I felt as though I
hadn't been an active participant in my
own life for many years, and I was tired
of it. I am now 53 years old and my
daughter will graduate from high school
in a few years. I want to get out and
enjoy my life when she leaves and not
sit at home and feel sorry for myself
because I can't get up and move.
I've been on many diets over the years
but have never found a plan that
actually taught me
how
to eat. While searching online I almost
went with another company but then
stumbled across PersonalDiets. I liked
the idea of having the support but not
actually having to leave home to get it.
While at home I can plan my menu's,
weigh in, fill out my calendar, and
email for help with any question that
comes up. I've never had to wait over 24
hours for a reply. And because my diet
was made specifically for me, I like
knowing that the dietician actually took
the time to read my questionnaire and
she has my best interest at heart.
Although I didn't specifically ask for a
high blood pressure diet, I do take
medication for it and the dietician
addressed that in my custom plan. When I
last saw my doctor I told her how much
weight I had lost and she was thrilled.
My blood pressure was lower that day so
I asked her if I could hope on either
cutting down or getting off my
medication all together. She
enthusiastically said "YES", and that I
could start tapering off if I wanted to.
I monitor my blood pressure and still
take medication but only every 3 days.
At first the plan confused me but once I
learned how to use the Plan-a-Meal to
customize my meals, I saw that the food
combinations were endless! You can't
possibly get bored on this diet. If
you're running short on time you can
even have an approved TV dinner! But the
most exciting part is that I have made
this such a natural transition into my
life, that it is just a food plan to me,
not a diet anymore. I now see how foods
can work, either with me or against me,
and it's up to me to make the best
choices. With this plan, I now have the
tools to do that.
I now
want to exercise because it's fun. I do
the Curves/Zumba circuit 3 times a week
and fill in the rest of the week with
either Zumba at home or walking. I have
now lost 50 pounds and have set a
tentative goal to lose 10 more. But
depending on how I look and feel at that
weight, I may go for another 10. I don't
expect to be a size 2 but rather am
realistic about what I can do for myself
to feel healthy. My husband has also
lost 30 pounds just by eating what I do,
except I give him more. Oh, I can't
forget all of the recipes available. I
print them up and put them in a
binder so they're easy to get to and
follow.
I have not felt this good about myself
in many years. I'm more outgoing and
happy and like all the compliments I'm
getting. I truly believe that if I had
not found PersonalDiets I would not have
been as successful and would still be
struggling. It is really the easiest
plan I have ever been on and also the
best fit for my pocketbook. Please don't
go looking for the miracle quick fixes,
they don't exist. This plan is well
rounded and healthy with the best
support around."
